Player Qualification:

  • To be eligible for State, Q Cup, City v Country and sanctioned events a player must be a financial member of the QEBF and the Affiliated Association.
  • The eligible Player must participate (play) in a minimum of FIVE (5) Association Team Fixtures in the period between the previous and current annual event.
  • A Player may attempt to Qualify for one or more Association's, provided you are a financial member of that Association.
  • Once Qualified to represent a Association you must accept or decline before attempted to Qualify for another Association Team.
  • A Player may only represent one Association at any one event.
  • A Player must comply with the Association rules of whom they are representing.

QLD CUP Nomination:

  • Team Nominations open 90 Days prior to each event. (so we can manage Tables)
  • Team Nominations close 30 Days prior to each event.
  • Players Names are expected 21 Days prior to each event.
  • Team Draw and Score Sheets printed 7 days prior to each event.

  • PAYMENT is required 30 Days prior to each event
  • Event Fee is $50 per Team Player
  • If there are 6 players and 4 reserves (6 + 4 = 10 x $50 =$500)
  • QEBF will invoice your association if requested
  • QEBF will email receipt after payment has been processed
  • Direct Bank Deposit is required

Umpires

  • all Teams should bring as least one (1) umpire.
  • Umpires are funded by your association.
  • One (1) umpire per table.
  • Home Team umpire will umpire the home table (example table 7).
  • Away Team umpire will umpire the away table (example table 8).

Team Uniform

  • Players must wear their represented association's Team Uniform.
  • as per the QEBF Dress Code.

  • Must include Association's Logo (Left Chest)
  • Must include QEBF Qld Cup Logo (Right Chest) LINK (as of 2017)

QLD CUP (Team/Player Ability)

  • Each Round Robin Match is based on a 60 Minutes time frame.
  • Each Men's Match Frame is based on a 10 Minute time frame.
  • Each Country Match Frame is based on a 10 Minute time frame.
  • Each Women's Match Frame is based on a 15 Minute time frame.
  • Team change over between rounds is inclusive.
  • Teams consistently running behind schedule MAY have frames/matches forfeited.
  • Teams/Players must not nominate if the can not meet these time restraints.

QLD CUP (Time Allowed) 20/20

  • A player has a maximum of forty seconds to play each shot.
  • Umpire Calls 20 Seconds at 20 Seconds
  • Umpire Calls Tim Foul at 40 Seconds

QLD CUP (Women's Team)

  • 16 Teams maximum
  • The Women's Team has (4) FOUR Players (reserves are allowed)
  • ** MUST be over 18 years of age
  • SS : Player 1 may be a State Player or A Grade or B Grade
  • SS : Player 2 may be a State Player or A Grade or B Grade
  • AA : Player 3 may be A Grade or B Grade
  • AA : Player 4 may be A Grade or B Grade
  • Round Robin Fixture consist of 2 rounds of 4 frames (total 8 frames)
  • Finals will be 2 rounds of 4 frames and 1 round of 3 frames (total 11 frames) (first to 6)
  • All frames are played continuously during all matches (no vacant tables)
  • Round Robin Fixture Score Sheets are pre-printed with names
  • Players MUST play 45% of frames to qualify for finals
  • Players 1 and 2 play Players 1 and 2 from the challenging team
  • Players 3 and 4 play Players 3 and 4 from the challenging team

QLD CUP (Men's Team)

  • 16 Teams maximum
  • The Men's Team has (6) SIX Players (reserves are allowed)
  • ** MUST be over 18 years of age
  • SS : Player 1 may be a State Player or A Grade or B Grade
  • SS : Player 2 may be a State Player or A Grade or B Grade
  • AA : Player 3 may be A Grade or B Grade
  • AA : Player 4 may be A Grade or B Grade
  • BB : Player 5 must be B Grade

  • Round Robin Fixtures consist of 2 rounds of 6 frames (total 12 frames)

QLD COUNTRY CUP (Men and Women)

  • 16 Teams maximum
  • The Team has (6) SIX Players (reserves are allowed)
  • ** MUST be over 18 years of age
  • SS : no State Players allowed, see definition below
  • AA : Player 1 may be A Grade or B Grade
  • AA : Player 2 may be A Grade or B Grade
  • BB : Player 3 must be B Grade
  • BB : Player 4 must be B Grade
  • BC : Player 5 may be B Grade or C Grade
  • BC : Player 6 may be B Grade or C Grade
  • Round Robin Fixtures consist of 2 rounds of 6 frames (total 12 frames)
  • Finals will be 2 rounds of 6 frames and 1 round of 1 frame (total 13 frames) (first to 7)
  • All frames are played continuously during all matches (no vacant tables)

Q.E.B.F TEAM ROUND ROBIN FIXTURE RESULTS TABLE
The positions will be determined by the following order:

  • Placing
  •  Men’s, Women’s, Country & Other Teams: At the conclusion of the round placing: -
  • A) - Fixture points, if tied on fixture points
  • B) - Frame percentage, if tied on frame percentage (%)
  • C) - Head to Head, if still drawn
  • D) - 2 simultaneous singles frames, if still tied
  • E) - 1 singles frame

QLD/COUNTRY CUP (Junior All Stars, Team) if required

  • This being an initiative taken to promote junior sport in Queensland.
  • The All Stars Team may consist of current and past QLD Juniors reps
  • under 23 and under 18 may nominate
  • Team is selected at the discretion of the QLD CUP Committee

QLD/COUNTRY CUP (Residents Team) if required

  • This being an initiative taken to Nurture the sport of eightball in Queensland.
  • Combined Association Regional Teams may be considered.
  • Teams may be selected at the discretion of the QLD CUP Committee

Definitions:

  • State Players are any Male person that have rep'd for any Mens State Team in last 4 years (above 33.3%)
  • State Players are any Female person that have rep'd for any Womens State Team in last 4 years (above 33.3%)
  • State Players are any Masters (over 50) person that have rep'd for any Masters State Team in last 4 years (above 33.3%)
  • Non Current State Players may also be graded on their known 'Ability'.
  • (must request the QLD CUP Committee access their 'Ability' before playing a lower grade)
  • Players previously participating at the Qld Cup or Country Cup in Grade's above their current Grade.
  • (must request the QLD CUP Committee access their 'Ability' before playing a lower grade)
  • State, graded by their Association or QLD CUP Committee
  • A Grade, graded by their Association or QLD CUP Committee
  • B Grade, graded by their Association or QLD CUP Committee
  • C Grade, graded by their Association or QLD CUP Committee
  • QLD CUP Committee have final say on a persons grading.
  • Many regional (Country) associations play a combined A B C competition:
  • B Grade will be players below 69.99% in a combined regional competition.
  • C Grade will be players below 54.99% in a combined regional competition.
  • Statistics from past Qld Cup and City v Country may contribute towards a players grading.
  • Statistics from a players previous four years may contribute towards a players grading.
  • The QLD CUP Committee may grade on their known 'Ability'.
  • PENALTY, if playing below your Grade your frame score will be null and void.

Awards:

  • Top 8 and Top 16
  • Team Winner will receive award
  • Team Runner-up will receive award
  • Most Valuable Player (MVP) will receive award, only one per division at the discretion of the committee.
  • Most Valuable Player (MVP) usually the most wins during the round robin, if drawn "finals" frames are considered.
